I spent the past week in
Angoulême, the capital of the
Charente department, in the French region of
Poitou-Charentes.
I was there to attend a drawing workshop based on
Betty Edwards' popular book, "
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". It was a lovely experience. I learned a lot, and naturally, I drew a lot too.
After a day of drawing, I sometimes spent the evening exploring Angoulême, especially its historic center, appreciating the sights of a town famous for its annual
Festival international de la bande dessinée (International Comics Festival).
The following are a few souvenirs from the exploration.
